What is a bulk molding compound? Also known as dough molding compound, this ready-to-mold material is made of glass-fiber reinforced thermoset polymers. It is typically used in compression molding but can also be used in injection and transfer molding. Its main applications are in the manufacturing of plastic products and is used in many industries, such as automotive, consumer goods, and household items. The main advantages of bulk molding compound include its low cost and ease of use.

DielectriteTM
The DielectriteTM BMC mold has an impressive list of properties, including excellent flame resistance and high thermal conductivity. The material is flame retardant, free of heavy metal compounds and halogens, and listed in the UL-file E-132532 for all colors. It can be molded using injection and compression processes. Astar supports customers by assisting with molding trials and providing complete technical assistance as required.

Bulk Moulding Compound (BMC) is a polymeric composite material containing a thermosetting resin, glass fiber reinforcement, and mineral fillers. Its superior mechanical properties and color stability make it suitable for a wide range of applications. Additionally, its superior flow characteristics make it a flexible material that is easy to process and assemble. In addition, the DielectriteTM BMC mold is easy to use and is highly cost-effective.

Fakuma
The new HPS III-MH nozzle enables the inclusion of a heat conductive lip on the surface of the part, ensuring a high-quality gate vestige. It also features a new tip inset installation system that installs the nozzle tip from the parting line of the mold. The mold's end-cover securely seals the nozzle and ensures a friction-locked connection. Fakuma's Roboshot electric drive injection molding machines will also be on display at the show.

Arburg has also stepped up its game by introducing the Allrounder 275 V vertical-clamp unit at Fakuma in Germany last October. With a clamping force of 27.5 tons, this machine features a rotary or fixed table. It has a 225-mm opening stroke and daylight of 475 mm. It is capable of handling mold weights of up to 143 lb. It also features three screw diameters ranging from 18 to 30 mm, with shot capacities ranging from 21 to 65 g/PS.

HAMC
Thermoplastic bulk molding compounds are the perfect solution for complex plastic assemblies. These compounds are composed of fire-resistant and solvent-resistant polymers that are suitable for a variety of aerospace applications. Additionally, they provide dimensional stability and can withstand higher temperatures than die-cast aluminum or steel. HAMC BMC molds can be used to manufacture various components and parts that require a high-strength, light-weight material.

The HAMC BMC is used to manufacture automotive headlight brackets, motor brackets, and other components. It can be used for diverse industrial applications, such as protection and electrical insulation components. It can be used for a variety of purposes and is highly affordable. Its versatility makes it suitable for a range of industries, including the electrical and electronics industries. Further, it is available in a wide variety of colors and patterns, which can be customized to suit individual requirements.

HAMC's
The use of HAMCs in BMC molding has a number of benefits and is especially beneficial in applications where the material thickness and fineness must be kept uniform. The shorter fiber length also enables injection molding of finer cavities and thinner parts. The higher filler content allows for a smoother surface finish. Palapreg(r) resins set the industry standard in BMC and SMC and are suitable for a number of applications. The material's properties are largely determined by its constituent mass percent.

Huayuan Advanced Materials Co., Ltd., is one of the pioneers of BMC production in China. For more than twenty years, the company has been supplying BMC to companies worldwide. Its extensive experience in the production of thermosetting composite materials has enabled it to gain global partnerships with Siemens, Eaton, Schneider, and others. The company also provides excellent after-sales service and has been supplying BMC to Slovenian distributors for many years.
